After learning this tip from the visiting lighter from Dreamworks, Stacey created a default light rig to use when testing/creating shaders.
It can be referenced into your scenes from this location:
S:\PROJECTS\Virtual Biology\Drafts\Art\Production\Virtual_Animations\VA_Production\Tasks\Lighting\Common\vdev_lightRig.ma
It should give you a nice white base lighting to judge your shader work from.
Key 1.0 Dmap shadows ON
Rim .6
Fill .25
Bounce .25
There is a group node called "Prop_360" that you can drop you model in to render 100 frame turntable.

Thanks Stacey.
